L'insegnamento è rivolto a tutti gli studenti della laurea triennale. Esso si pone come obiettivo l'acquisizione della capacità di rielaborazione dei temi affrontati nel corso. Il docente lavorerà soprattutto a rafforzare le capacità di comprensione, ragionamento, contestualizzazione e rielaborazione dei concetti e delle nozioni filosofiche da parte delle studentesse e degli studenti.

The course is aimed at all students of the three-year degree. It aims at enabling students to acquire and re-elaborate the topics dealt with in the course. The teacher will work above all to strengthen the understanding, reasoning, contextualization, and reworking of concepts and philosophical notions.

I risultati dell'apprendimento saranno verificati con un colloquio orale. In sede d'esame sarà fatta particolare attenzione alla capacità di comprensione delle nozioni e delle tesi chiave e analisi critica dei problemi evidenziati e discussi a lezione.
In particolare, lo studente dovrà dimostrare:
- conoscenze approfondite dei temi trattati;
- capacità analitiche e argomentative nella discussione;
- di saper integrare criticamente conoscenze filosofiche di tipo diverso;
- di saper apprendere rapidamente nuove nozioni pertinenti ai temi trattati nel corso.

The evaluation of students will be based on oral discussion. The exam will be centered on the understanding of key notions and theses and on a critical analysis of the main themes developed during the course. The instructor will assess the students' argumentative abilities and the depth of their theoretical understanding.
The students will have to demonstrate:
- deep knowledge of the themes discussed;
- analytical and argumentative abilities in the discussion;
- the capacity to integrate different philosophical notions;
- the capacity to quickly acquire new notions pertaining to the themes discussed during the course.

Conoscenze e capacità previste saranno verificate attraverso un colloquio orale. La preparazione sarà considerata adeguata (con votazione espressa in trentesimi) se lo studente dimostrerà capacità di esposizione e di analisi critica dei contenuti, ricorrendo alla terminologia scientifica necessaria; se riconoscerà o stabilirà rapporti e collegamenti di interdipendenza tra le nozioni e le tesi studiate.

The evaluation will be based on oral discussion. To meet the course requirements the students will have to show the ability to present and analyze the topics developed in class; good mastery of the scholarly vocabulary; the ability to identify connections and relations of interdependence among the notions and the theses studied during the course. The final grade is based on a grading scale of 30 points.

Partendo da Documanità (Laterza 2021) e sviluppandone gli elementi chiave, il corso delineerà le caratteristiche fondamentali del mondo nuovo che ci attende, e che ha bisogno prima di tutto di una riflessione filosofica intesa come la comprensione del proprio tempo attraverso il concetto. Non c’è emancipazione senza comprensione, e nella fattispecie della comprensione di un fatto banale, e cioè che gli umani hanno vissuto per millenni senza Web ma il Web non sopravvivrebbe un giorno senza umani. Dunque, ben lungi dall’essere schiavi della tecnica, ne siamo i padroni, purché abbiamo il coraggio di assumerci le nostre responsabilità.

Il Web è un costrutto umano che registra le nostre forme di vita, dunque è l’impresa più umanistica che la storia abbia conosciuto. Si tratta di comprendere che una macchina può fare qualunque cosa, tranne consumare, nel senso che se resta senza energia non muore, come succede agli organismi, ma smette di funzionare per poi riprendere appena torna la luce. Unici fra tutti gli altri organismi, gli umani hanno dispiegato un numero impressionante di tecnologie, dal fuoco alla scrittura alla cultura in generale, e questo proprio perché spinti dal consumo, dall’urgenza vitale che ovviamente si trasforma anche in urgenza spirituale.

Condannare il consumo pensando che consista nel mangiare cibo malsano è non capire che anche ascoltare una sinfonia è consumare, cioè fare ciò che non è alla portata di una macchina. Ecco perché nel futuro le università saranno ancora più integrate al mondo sociale perché una umanità liberata dal lavoro grazie all’automazione ha di fronte a sé un compito immenso, diventare ogni giorno più umana attraverso la ricerca, l’educazione, l’invenzione.

Nella sua prima metà, il corso sarà dedicato all'analisi di Filosofia teoretica, con lezioni dedicate a singoli autori trattati nel manuale e un focus sugli elementi definitori della metafisica analitici; la seconda metà sarà invece dedicata più nello specifico a Documanità.

Starting from Documanità (Laterza 2021), the course will outline the fundamental characteristics of the new world that awaits us, and which first of all needs a philosophical reflection meant as the understanding of one's own time through the concept. There is no emancipation without understanding, and in this case the understanding of a trivial fact, namely that humans have lived for millennia without the Web but the Web would not survive a day without humans. Therefore, far from being slaves of technology, we are its masters, as long as we have the courage to assume our responsibilities.

We observe that the humanities have invaded digitalization, and on the other hand could it have been otherwise? The Web is a human construct that records our forms of life, therefore it is the most humanistic enterprise that history has known. Here too, however, if we reduce ourselves to conceiving digital humanism with the use of computers instead of goose feathers, we do not go far. It is a question of understanding that a machine can do anything, except consume, in the sense that if it runs out of energy it does not die, as happens to organisms, but stops working and then resumes as soon as the light returns. Unique among all other organisms, humans have deployed an impressive number of technologies, from fire to writing to culture in general, and this is precisely because they are driven by consumption, by vital urgency which obviously also turns into spiritual urgency.

To condemn consumption thinking that it consists in eating unhealthy food is not understanding that listening to a symphony is also consuming, that is, doing what is not within the reach of a machine.That is why in the future universities will be even more integrated into the social world because a humanity free from work thanks to automation has an immense task ahead, i.e. to become more human every day through research, education, invention.

In the first half, the course will be devoted to the analysis of Filosofia teoretica, with lectures devoted to individual authors covered in the textbook and a focus on the defining elements of analytic metaphysics; the second half will be devoted more specifically to Documanità.
