Modalità di insegnamento
L'insegnamento è impartito in 72 ore complessive, pari a 12 crediti.
The course is articulated in 72 teaching hours (equivalent to 12 credits). The teaching method consists of traditional lectures, devoted to the reading of and commenting upon Aristotle’s text; nonetheless, students will be constantly involved in a debate concerning divergent scholarly opinions on controversial passages.
Due to the provisions on social distancing and the number of students for whom the teaching is intended, the course will be streamed online; the instructor will be available to record the lectures and make them ready for subsequent access through the appropriate platforms. On-line lectures can be accessed through the following link:

om/unito/j.php?MTID=ma08da5d40 66b48f5e2b0b08452c0c716 Bi-weekly, the instructor will be available to meet small groups of students in attendance to discuss any difficulties that may arise in class.

The exam is articulated as follows. Students will be required to answer three open-ended questions. First, they will have to answer a question on general aspects of the classic. Second, they will be asked to comment on one of its passages. Third, they will be presented with a passage which has not been discussed in class; they will be asked to analyse it through their own background knowledge of the Metaphysics. The brief oral examination will aim at discussing possible issues emerged from the written examination, or to assess the breath of students' knowledge of the text.

It will be possible for small groups of students to benefit from tutorials (outside office hours), in which they will be offered the possibility to ameliorate their studying methods, clarify possible difficult topics, and deepen their acquaintance with aspects of particular interest.
